As per the information, January 2022 firmware update for Redmi 9A/9i/9A Sport carries the Android 10 based MIUI 12 version V18.104.22.168.QCDINXM. This update weighs around 2.6GB, which is a massive size. So, we suggest you download it using a WiFi connection.
Besides the security patch, we have not found any additional changes made to the system. But, you may note some minor improvements after upgrading to the latest MIUI 12 firmware version.
