Huawei has kicked off a new HarmonyOS software update for Huawei Mate 30E Pro that mainly installs the security patch released in January 2022. The information reveals that this update is rolling with the latest HarmonyOS version 188.8.131.52.
To install the January 2022 update on Huawei Mate 3oE Pro, the corresponding device owners required the base HarmonyOS version 184.108.40.206. However, the company is pushing this update in batches so it will take one-two weeks to cover all the Mate 30E Pro phones.
This update boosted the system security by installing January 2022 security patch. It brings fixes for 4 CVE in the framework, 10 CVEs in the system, and 5 CVEs in the application as well as 111 CVEs in the third-party libraries.
To be mentioned, before updating the device make sure that the smartphone must be charged at least 30% and have sufficient storage. Also, make back up of your important data to prevent data loss.
How to install the latest update:
To download this update manually, go to Settings then System & updates, then open Software update, from here select Check for updates. If an update is available it’ll pop up on your phone and an option of Download and install will appear. Press the option and start to download.
Alternatively, you can also request software updates through the My Huawei app. To do this, open the My Huawei app, go to the Update Section and follow on-screen instructions to download and install.
