[Extension] Huawei P30 Lite receives software update in December 2020

Huawei has begun to expand the security patches for December 2020 in more regions to improve the system security of the P30 Lite smartphone. This update brings EMUI 10 version 10.0.0.384, and the update size is 101MB.

In December last year, Huawei released the November 2020 security update for Huawei P30 Lite smartphones. The update fixes different levels of exploits and problems to protect your device from security threats.

Prior to this, Huawei has made it clear that this smartphone will not be able to obtain EMUI 10.1, which is a huge disappointment for users. However, the company promised to send regular monthly security patches for the P30 lite smartphone.

Now, Huawei will send a new software update for P30 Lite running on EMUI 10.0, which installs the security patch released in December 2020, thereby improving the security of the device system.

Note:

  • Currently, this update is being rolled out in India.
  • This update is rolling out in batches, so it may take some time/days to reach your device.
  • The update will not delete any data.

  • Huawei P30 Lite smartphone uses EMUI 10.0 version 10.0.0.381, and the update size is 103MB.

Securit patch details: The December 2020 security patch fixes 1 critical CVE and 11 high-level CVEs to improve system security.

Release Notes:

To download this update manually, go to Settings, System and Updates, then open Software Update, and select Check for Updates from here. If an update is available, it will pop up on your phone and display the “download and install” option. Press option and start downloading.

Alternatively, you can also request software updates through the support app. To do this, open the “Support” app, go to the “Services” tab on the bottom bar, click Update, then select “Check for updates”, then download and install.
