On January 22, Huawei released a new processor Kirin 820E, which comes with the newly released Huawei Nova 7 SE Lohas Edition. The processor is a modified version of the Kirin 820, the company’s first 6-core chip.

Kirin 820E is built on TSMC’s most advanced 7-nanometer process, and comes with a 5G modem on the chip itself. It is equipped with Huawei’s self-developed Da Vinci NPU, Mali-G57 GPU, and is supported by Kirin Gaming + 2.0 technology.

This powerful series of chipsets has a two-level architecture, including six-core CPU components, including three large 2.22 GHz Cortex A76 cores and three small 1.84 GHz A55 cores.

It also has ISP 5.0 developed by Huawei, which has block matching and 3D filtering (BM3D) image noise reduction functions. And dual-domain video noise reduction technology can obtain clearer night photos.
