Samsung develops new Exynos chip to compete with Apple A14 Bionic

Samsung recently launched its latest smartphone series, the Galaxy S21, at the Galaxy Unpacked event held on January 14, 2021. Before these smartphones were released, the company introduced the latest Exynos chipset, which debuted with the Galaxy S21 mobile phone.

Exynos 2100 is built on the latest 5nm process and provides a lot of improved CPU and GPU functions to enhance performance and the latest 5G connectivity. The processor was launched to compete with Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 888, which has been used in many smartphones from multiple mobile phone manufacturers such as Vivo, Xiaomi and Samsung.

Compared with Apple’s latest A14 Bionic chip used in the iPhone 12 lineup, the new Exynos 2100 chip faces some lag. Now, according to the latest news, it is reported that the South Korean tech giant is developing a new chipset designed to compete with the A14 Bionic chip.

For the new processor, the company is reportedly working with AMD to provide a more powerful CPU and GPU combination. Although the chipset is said to be in the development stage, early performance results and comparisons with A14 Bionic show that the upcoming Exynos can easily beat Apple’s most powerful CPU.

According to the release of the chipset, it can be assumed that the new Exynos will be released in the second half of this year. Although, we should wait for the actual confirmation of the company.
