On September 10, at the 2020 Huawei Developer Conference (HDC), Huawei launched the HiCar solution that connects cars with smartphones to make users’ lives easier.
During the event, Huawei CBG President Richard Yu revealed that Huawei HiCar cooperates with 20 automakers, more than 150 vehicles and more than 30 applications, and plans to pre-install HiCar on more than 5 million new cars in 2021.
According to the latest information, Baojun’s six new models will receive new OTA upgrades to provide support for the HiCar system. HiCar’s six Baojun models include RS-3, RS-5, RM-5, RC-5, RC-5W and RC-6.
Based on Huawei’s distributed technology, Huawei HiCar integrates cars and smartphones. By using this function, you can enjoy smartphone functions, such as music, and car navigation on the screen.
When the car’s central control screen detects that the phone is connected, it will automatically “pop up” the card options, which include calendar reminders, destination navigation, music playback, answering calls and voice assistant functions.
You can also use the car camera to share the scenery with the home video, and you can also check the status of the car in real time on your phone, or turn on the car’s air conditioner in advance. Your car can only be controlled by you.
Moreover, you can calculate whether the driver is tired and whether the personal data is not left in the car, and remember the location of your favorite car to avoid the embarrassing situation of not being able to find the car.
