Huawei has sent a stable version of EMUI 11 via OTA, thus closing the EMUI 11 beta test plan for Huawei Nova 7 and Nova 7 Pro smartphones.
Speaking of its functions, the new EMUI 11 is equipped with an artistic always-on display (AOD), smoother animations, delicate effects, super notepads, privacy features and more.
In order to further improve, Huawei has begun to send a new version of EMUI 11 as well as file flash transfer function, dynamic screen effects, starry night theme and November 2020 security patch to improve system security.
The new flash file transfer system was launched together with the Huawei Mate 40 series. The system supports high-speed and ultra-long file transfer at 305Mbps, and large file transfers up to 400GB over long distances. Recently, Huawei P30 and other devices have also obtained this feature in China, but the company has not yet launched this feature for global users.
[Version] Registered users of Huawei Nova 7 and Nova 7 Pro upgraded from EMUI 11 version 220.127.116.11 to 18.104.22.168. (Note: This new version can be used for registered users of EMUI 11 beta)
[File Transfer] The new large file flash transfer function allows users to transfer large files, high-definition videos and images without worrying about the size, distance and image quality will not be compressed.
[System] The new dynamic effect of bright screen, when the screen is on, the screen gradually lights up, so that the eyes have time to adapt to the light source, making the bright screen experience more comfortable and harmonious.
[Theme] Added the artistic theme of “Starry Night Painting”, bright painting and smooth and continuous motion effects.
[Application] Solve the problem that WeChat clone cannot be selected when sharing.
[Security] The security patch for November 2020 is included to enhance the security of the mobile phone system.

To download this update manually, go to Settings, System and Updates, then open Software Update, and select Check for Updates from here. If an update is available, it will pop up on your phone and display the “download and install” option. Press option and start downloading.
Alternatively, you can also request software updates through the support app. To do this, open the “Support” app, go to the “Services” tab on the bottom bar, click Update, then select “Check for updates”, then download and install.
