On December 16, 2020, HarmonyOS 2.0 (Hongmeng OS 2.0) mobile Beta was released to developers, and the company opened beta recruitment for the previous smartphone flagship store.

Huawei P40, P40 Pro, Mate 30, Mate 30 Pro and MatePad Pro users are eligible to test the HarmonyOS 2.0 developer beta. Currently, the beta version is only available for developers and Huawei’s industry partners.

After the Beta version recruitment, Huawei is now launching the first Beta OTA for developers participating in the HarmonyOS 2.0 mobile Beta version event.

According to the information, the package size of OTA is 4.04GB and comes with HarmonyOS 2.0 version (SP2DEVC00E2R5P90). Initially, Huawei decided to keep the HarmonyOS 2.0 mobile developer beta in the hands of limited testers, but the company may expand it to more devices in 2021
