Huawei Mate X2 won’t launch in 2020

Huawei Mate X2 is an upcoming foldable device in the Huawei Mate X family. The Huawei Mate X was launched last year. Now, the company has started preparation for its foldable display panel.

The company brings a major change in the upcoming Huawei Mate X2. Instead of outward folding, this model comes with an inward folding screen. According to the information, the devices come with an 8.03 display with a 2480 x 2220  resolution.

Ross Young, CEO of Display Supply Chain Consultants tweeted, Mate X2 won’t launch in 2020 due to the US government’s restriction on Huawei.

From 15 September the U.S restricted chip supply to Huawei and the purchase of a new panel. It is the core politics of the U.S to beat China. Due to a shortage of chips, Huawei facing problems that delays the device launch.

The available stock of chips will be used in Huawei Mate 40 series which is going to launch soon. Also, Huawei is all set start to start production of the display panel from September this year.
