Donald Trump is trying to murder Huawei: US-China Business Chief

We’ve seen that Huawei has become a central figure of US-China trade war, as a result, the Chinese telecom giant has been facing restriction from the US and the head of US-China business group called this a ‘murder’ by the Trump administration.

Huawei reportedly canceled a new laptop launch due to US restrictions

Craig Allen, president of US-China business council, which represent about 200 American companies that do business with China, told that Donald Trump wants to end the company completely instead of just applying a ban.

“If we want to keep it out of our network, it’s easy to do. Let’s just ban them. But putting them on the entity list and prohibiting U.S. companies from dealing with them, it’s more like murder. It’s trying to put an end to them,” said Craig at CNBC’s Capital Exchange summit. The council represents about 200 American companies that do business with China.

The official also addressed his concerns over the US-China trade war escalation and the problems it’ll create for both economies.

In May, the US president Donal Trump added Huawei and its affiliates to the “Entity List” or simply called a trade blacklist – an action that bans Huawei from buying components and software from American firms.

Trump later urged allies countries to bar the Huawei from taking part in next-generation network development, which is expected to affect the company’s business in the upcoming quarters.
